The Beaird Harris Business Advisory Internship

The Business Advisory Internship Program is designed to provide you with a realistic and well-rounded view of various aspects of business advisory services, including financial analysis, strategic planning, and client management. As an intern, you’ll work directly with Partners and Senior Team Members and be challenged to realize your full potential.

The Beaird Harris Business Advisory Internship includes:

  • Guidance from Beaird Harris mentors
  • Opportunity for interaction with Beaird Harris Advisory clients
  • Training on various software relevant to bookkeeping and financial reporting
  • Feedback from your supervisor to further develop your knowledge and skills
  • Learning the importance of financial reporting in business
  • Application of financial analysis for client-specific requests
  • Implementing of past education to real business processes

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a four-year BA/BS degree or graduate program, majoring in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, or related field.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
  • Adept at managing multiple projects and completing deliverables on schedule.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and application.
  • High level of integrity and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Successfully manage strong academics and extracurricular activities.
  • Attention to detail. Strong written and communication skills.

Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping and financial report preparation.
  • Effectively communicate research findings to the Business Advisory team.
  • Interface with clients and Beaird Harris team members.
  • General office responsibilities.
  • Assistance with special projects on an as-needed basis.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans, business models, and growth strategies for clients.
