Beaird Harris is proud and honored to announce that we have been included in the 2020 Dallas Business Journal list of Best Places to Work in North Texas.  The awards program began in 2003 and is promoted by the Dallas Business Journal in partnership with Quantum Workplace.  Beaird Harris ranked number 26 in the small employer category.

The survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in North Texas, benefiting the state’s economy, workforce and businesses.  The 2020 Best Places to Work in North Texas list is made up of 20 companies in the micro employer category (10-24 North Texas employees), 30 companies in the small employer category (25-490 North Texas employees), 30 companies in the medium employer category (50-249 North Texas employees), 15 companies in the large employer category (250-999 North Texas employees) and 5 in the extra large employer category (1000+ North Texas employees).  Beaird Harris was recognized as one of the top 25 organizations within the small-sized employer category.

Beaird Harris was recognized and honored at the Best Places to Work in North Texas awards ceremony coordinated by the Dallas Business Journal.  Final rankings can be found on the Dallas Business Journal website.

Recognition Requirements

The Quantum survey measures six key engagement categories including: team dynamics, trust in leadership, communication and resources, manager effectiveness, and personal engagement. In order to receive statistically sound results, companies must reach a minimum level of employee participation, based on total number of employees, to be eligible to be as a finalist. Responses from each question of each completed survey are compiled and evaluated. Companies are ranked, and finalists are chosen in each size category according to their overall score. This score is calculated by compiling all raw data from the questions. For companies with more than 50 employees, the percent of eligible employees who participate in the survey is also factored in to the overall score. Winners and finalists are chosen solely based on the results of the employee survey.

The survey was originally developed in 2003 and began with 75 pilot items across the spectrum of workplace themes. After a million responses, stepwise regression analysis was performed to identify the items most closely correlated to engagement. Based on this research, the survey was reduced to thirty-seven core items. Quantum validates the survey science annually. The survey was updated again in 2016 and reduce to 30 core questions.
