Each year, D Magazine asks the Certified Financial Planner™ professionals in the Dallas-Fort Worth chapter of the Financial Planning Association (“FPA”) to nominate the best financial planners in Dallas. We’re proud to announce that Ginnie was nominated by her peers and recognized as one of the “Best Financial Planners in Dallas” in the November issue of D Magazine.
Ginnie Baker specializes in working with high net worth individuals, families and businesses, with a particular emphasis in the healthcare industry. She helps guides clients through financial decisions, educating them about their investments, insurance, estate plan, employee benefits and retirement plans, and works with clients to coordinate, implement, and monitor their financial plans. This is her fourth recognition by D Magazine as she has been named to the list consecutively since 2018.
“Ginnie’s goal is to develop strong relationships with her clients,” said Steve Lugar, Managing Director of Beaird Harris Wealth Management. “She genuinely cares for people and focuses on making the complexities of financial planning clear and simple. We’re proud of her accomplishments and are honored to have her on our team.”
Ginnie earned her Master of Science in Personal Financial Planning and Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Tech. She remains actively involved at Texas Tech and has participated as both a member and past President of Texas Tech’s Personal Financial Planning Alumni Advisory Board. She also serves as the President of the Dallas Fort Worth Chapter of the Financial Planning Association.
Rankings and/or recognition by unaffiliated rating services and/or publications should not be construed by a client or prospective client as a guarantee that he/she will experience a certain level of results if Beaird Harris Wealth Management is engaged, or continues to be engaged, to provide investment advisory services, nor should it be construed as a current or past endorsement of Beaird Harris Wealth Management by any of its clients. Rankings published by magazines, and others, generally base their selections exclusively on information prepared and/or submitted by the recognized adviser. A copy of Beaird Harris Wealth Management’s current written disclosure statement discussing advisory services and fees is available here. Beaird Harris did not pay a fee to be included in D Magazine’s Best Financial Planners in Dallas list; however, we did pay $750 for an enhanced online profile for Ginnie Baker, which can be found here.
Best Financial Planners Research Methodology:
D Magazine asked every CFP professional in the Dallas-Fort Worth chapter of the Financial Planning Association to cast an online ballot. They were asked to name peers, both inside and outside their firms, whom they considered to be the most skilled and experienced financial planners in the industry. Outside-firm votes counted more than inside-firm votes and self-nominations were tossed out. A panel of esteemed local financial planners reviewed the list. Only CFPs made the list.
Requirements for voters: 1) Ballots will be sent via email. 2) Voters are limited to a total of 5 votes, and no more than 2 votes can be for members of their own company. 3) No self-nominations are allowed. 4) Must be an active member of the FPA. 5) Must have an office based within D Magazine’s geographic boundaries, which include Tarrant County.
Requirements for winners: 1) Must be an active member of the FPA. 2) Must have an office based within D Magazine’s geographic boundaries, which include Tarrant County. 3) Must receive at least one vote to be eligible to win. Preference is given to nominees with at least two votes from outside their own firm. 4) Must be in good standing. Brokerage checks and CFP checks will be conducted during the first round of fact check. Any issues identified will be investigated by D Magazine. 5) Must be accepting new clients at the time of the list’s publication. 6) Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a financial planner. 7) Must currently lead client engagement.
