Ameerah began her career in public accounting at Beaird Harris and has been with the firm since 2012. Throughout her career, Ameerah has assisted a diverse range of clients. As a specialist in the healthcare industry, she has clients ranging from sole practitioners to large medical groups and provides a myriad of tax, accounting and business consulting services.
Additionally, she has a passion for efficiency and improving the team member experience from a technology perspective, making her an instrumental leader in the firm’s Technology Committee. She also previously served on the firm’s Recruiting and Training Committees. As a member of the Recruiting Committee, she represented the firm at various college recruiting events, has been a guest speaker for university tax classes, and has presented a variety of topics to college accounting student organizations.
“Ameerah has a passion for helping clients that is contagious. She has been instrumental in developing a comprehensive service plan for our start-up business clients as well as internal technology initiatives. She is an excellent addition to our partner team,” says Paula Allgood, Managing Partner.
Ameerah earned a Master’s in Accounting and a Master’s in Music Education from the University of North Texas, as well as a Bachelor’s of Music Education from the University of Oklahoma. She is a member of the Dallas CPA Society, Texas Society of CPAs, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In 2015, she was selected to be a part of the Dallas CPA Society’s Leadership Development Academy.
