Ameerah joined Beaird Harris in 2012 and provides tax planning, tax compliance, and consulting services to individuals and businesses in a variety of retail and service industries with a particular emphasis in medical, dental, and other healthcare fields. She works with clients forming new businesses in deciding entity type, federal tax classification, retirement options, employee and payroll setup as well as many other aspects of setting up and maintaining a successful business.
Ameerah serves on the firm’s Technology Committee and has also served on the Training and Recruitment Committees. As a member of the Recruitment Committee, she represented the firm at various college recruiting events, has been a guest speaker for university tax classes, and has presented a variety of topics to college accounting student organizations.
Ameerah received her CPA license in 2014 and is a member of the Dallas CPA Society, Texas Society of CPAs, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In 2015, she was selected to be a part of the Dallas CPA Society’s Leadership Development Academy where she and other up-and-coming professionals learned and developed skills from leaders in the Dallas CPA community.
Prior to joining the firm, Ameerah spent four years as a teacher in Oklahoma and Texas. She has earned a Master of Science Degree in Accounting and a Master of Music Education Degree from the University of North Texas, as well as a Bachelor of Music Education Degree from the University of Oklahoma.
