Jon joined Beaird Harris in December of 1988 and established the Beaird Harris accounting system consulting practice for small businesses. With a strong technical background in both financial accounting and information technology, he is able to bring a unique perspective when he assists small businesses in establishing their internal accounting systems. Jon has been using the QuickBooks accounting package since it was introduced in the early 1990’s. He also works on special projects for clients, such as acting as an interim CFO, establishing pro-forma financial statements for start up companies and training a company’s existing internal accounting staff to help them become more efficient. Jon became a Partner in 2002.

Jon is a 1991 graduate of the University of North Texas, earning both a B.S. and M.S. in Accounting and a specialization in Audit. He has been a CPA since 1994 and added the CITP (Certified Information Technology Professional) credential in 2012. Jon is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of CPAs, Beta Gamma Sigma, and the QuickBooks Certified Professional Advisors Program.
