Beaird Harris congratulates Arsalan Ashraf, Suzanne Bailey, Drew Bryan, Courtney Bouchez, Kaila Cantu, Joy Christensen, Matt Edrington, Char Fortune and Matt Skinner on their recent promotions.

Tax Senior Managers

• Arsalan Ashraf – Arsalan joined Beaird Harris in 2017 and provides tax planning, tax compliance, and business consulting services for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, nonprofits, and small to medium size businesses in diverse industries including legal, manufacturing, healthcare, and real estate. Arsalan received his bachelor’s degree at Illinois State University and master’s degree in accounting from the Roosevelt University in 2013. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of CPAs.
• Matt Edrington – Matt joined Beaird Harris in 2014. His responsibilities include tax preparation and tax planning. Matt graduated from the University of North Texas in 2010 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2015 with an MBA with a concentration in Accounting. Matt received his CPA license in 2018.

Advisory Services Senior Manager

• Matt Skinner – Matt joined Beaird Harris in 2018 as part of our Accounting Services Team and now leads our Advisory Services Team, assisting business clients with financial reporting, budgeting, and management. He is a member of the Texas Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and serves on the Firm’s Technology Committee and on Gusto’s CPA Advisory Council. Matt graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting before becoming a CPA.

Tax Managers

• Suzanne Bailey – Suzanne joined Beaird Harris in January 2021 with more than 13 years of public accounting experience including nine years as an independent contractor for Beaird Harris. She is a member of the Tax and Accounting Services Teams. Her responsibilities include Financial Statement Preparation, Bookkeeping, Payroll Tax Reporting and Setup. Suzanne is a 1992 graduate of Texas A&M University and became a CPA in 1994. She completed her MBA in 1997 at Auburn University at Montgomery.
• Kaila Cantu – Kaila joined Beaird Harris in 2019 and provides tax compliance, tax planning and business consulting services for small businesses and individuals. Kaila graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelors of Accounting and Masters of Accounting with a concentration in Tax.
• Char Fortune – Char joined Beaird Harris in 2017 as a Tax Associate. Her responsibilities include tax preparation and tax planning. Char graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a concentration in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Operations Manager

• Joy Christensen – Joy joined Beaird Harris in 2018 as a member of our Operations Team. She provides assistance with account opening, maintenance requests and is a liaison to Schwab and Fidelity. With over 20 years of experience in the wealth management field, Joy brings a passion for serving others and a mission to serve well. Her expertise with financial custodians, and all aspects of the wealth management process, will help ensure your service needs are met with the highest level of efficiency and care.

• Courtney Bouchez – Courtney joined Beaird Harris in 2019 and provides tax compliance, tax planning and business consulting services for small businesses and individuals. Courtney graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, and then attended the University of North Texas where she obtained a Master of Science in Taxation.
• Drew Bryan – Drew joined Beaird Harris in 2019 as a Tax Associate. His responsibilities include tax preparation and tax planning. Drew graduated Cum Laude in 2019 with a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas.
