The Beaird Harris Tax Internship

The Beaird Harris Tax Internship Program is designed to provide you with a realistic and well-rounded view of life in public accounting. As an intern, you’ll work directly with Partners and Senior Tax Managers and be challenged to realize your full potential.

The Beaird Harris Tax Internship includes:

  • Classroom-style training

  • Preparation of high-income and high-net-worth tax returns
  • Exposure to complex tax transaction
  • Interaction with other interns on special projects
  • Formal evaluation from your supervisor

Qualifications

  • Completed Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting and be enrolled in or have completed Intermediate Accounting I.
    Tax Accounting is NOT required.
  • High level of integrity and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment.
  • Successfully manage strong academics and extracurricular activities.
  • Attention to detail. Strong written and communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preparation of individual tax returns for high-income and high-net-worth clients.
  • Preparation of individual tax projections to ensure proper tax planning for the client.
  • Assist in financial statement compilations.
  • Client interface on tax questions.
