Denise joined Beaird Harris in 1995. She served as the team leader for Don Harris’ practice group, specializing in individual, partnership, trust, estate, and shareholder taxation, until she entered law school in 2006. She continued to serve many of Don Harris’ clients until graduating from law school in 2009. Denise currently provides tax assistance in these areas as well as legal expertise in the areas of tax law and wills and trust law.
Denise graduated with a BBA in Accounting from Texas A&M University in 1996 and became a CPA in 1998. In 2009, she received a Juris Doctor degree cum laude from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. During law school, Denise served as Managing Editor of the Journal of Air Law and Commerce published by the SMU Law Review Association, performed a legal clerkship in International Tax with a Big 4 Accounting firm, and worked as a research assistant to SMU Professor Joshua C. Tate in the area of wills and trust law. Denise was admitted to the Texas State Bar in 2009 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and American Bar Association.
