Operations / Client Service Representative

The Operations / Client Service Representative (“CSR”) is responsible for performing functions within the Operations Team, including new account setup, client data reconciliation, daily report reviews and resolving issues while working within defined policy and procedures. The functions are time sensitive and require a high attention to detail. The position requires effective communication skills and the ability to work with different groups.

Responsibilities

  • Execute trading and rebalancing process, including, but not limited to portfolio submission, trade allocation, assessment of client cash requirements.
    • Trading experience preferred, but not required.
  • Facilitate new accounts, account transfers and account management.
  • Setup and maintain accounts in Beaird Harris systems.
  • Resolve client service issues and requests from Wealth Managers and Clients.
  • Serve as liaison between Wealth Managers and Clients as needed.
  • Support Wealth Managers with a can-do attitude.
  • Ask questions, be engaged, and anticipate next steps when assigned tasks.
  • Keep Wealth Managers informed on the status of delegated tasks.
  • Educate Wealth Managers on Operations protocols.
  • Interact with vendors to resolve client service issues.
  • Participate in special projects involving the Operations Team.
  • Maintain team approach by assisting and filling in for others as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in business, accounting, finance, economics or related field.
  • Series 65 preferred, not required.
  • 3+ years experience in the financial planning industry.
  • Schwab and/or Fidelity platform experience preferred.
  • Experience with Tamarac Reporting, Rebalancer and AdvisorEngine CRM software is a plus.

Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
